The center would focus on supporting U.S. firms with digitalized core business solutions

Indian multinational conglomerate, Infosys Ltd. has recently inaugurated its new technology and innovation center in Hartford, Connecticut. According to The Economic Times, the company said that its center will serve as a global hub for its HealthTech and InsurTech efforts and will feature Living Labs for the healthcare, insurance and manufacturing sectors among others.

The company further added that it has hired more than 7,000 American employees in the past 18 months, as a part of its commitment to hire approximately 10,000 Americans and to accelerate the pace of digitalization amongst U.S. enterprises.

As per reliable sources, the labs at the Hartford center will bring together expertise in business and technologies such as extended reality, blockchain and cognitive capabilities and will use techniques like agile, design thinking and devops.

Pravin Rao, COO, Infosys, was quoted saying that the inauguration of the firm’s Hartford Technology and Innovation Hub is a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to support U.S. enterprises to revitalize their core businesses. He said that the center, along with five others around the country, will help the company to seamlessly collaborate with clients to develop cross-functional digital solutions for current business needs.

Ravi Kumar, President of Infosys, said that the center will closely work with its clients to offer an enhanced digitalization support to businesses in the region, including those across the healthcare, insurance and manufacturing sectors.

Reportedly, Dannel Malloy, Governor of Connecticut, was quoted saying that the company’s new hub would create over 1,000 jobs at Hartford. He added that the firm has already become a strong corporate partner for the region’s enterprises.
